This decision was not taken lightly and is being done as recommended by authorities in the interest of public health. The following operational changes have been effective immediately until further notice.

All City Hall offices are closed to the public. We will be transitioning to online and telephone services. All necessary adjustments have been made to ensure continuity of our city services.

Emergency response services remain fully staffed and operational. Non-emergency police matters should be referred to 626-430-2244.

Community Development will be available by appointment only by calling 626-430-2208.

Community Services departments remain closed. All citywide events and programs have been cancelled or postponed. The resident Senior Home Delivery Meals program is still available by calling 626-430-2283. Library online resources are available 24/7.

In addition we are:

Assessing meetings and group activities on a case-by-case basis.

Applying and promoting social distancing (6 feet).

Increasing access to hygiene stations at City facilities.

Exploring options for remote public meetings.

Amplifying public outreach on best practices for limiting germ spread.

As with school and other closures across Los Angeles County, this does not represent any added or known concerns for Irwindale.
